CURRICULUM
The College curriculum in Years 7 to 10 is based on the Victorian
Essential Learning Standards (VELS). The curriculum at the senior
levels implements the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). Senior students may also elect to study Vocational Education
and Training (VET) units.
The College is currently investigating the introduction of the
International Baccalaureate.
Junior School
All students undertake a program involving a core
curriculum in Years 7 and 8 with:
An integrated ‘GEMS' Program (Geography and Mankind in
Society ~ English, Geography, History) has been well established at Year 7 to assist
with the transition from Primary School.
Students study within all eight Key Learning Areas; all students
study a choice of languages in Years 7
and 8. Languages offered
to students are: Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
Middle School
All students undertake studies in the following subjects:
English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities (History, Geography and Economics) Information
and Communications Technology Health and Physical
Education.
Electives from:
The Arts
Technology (& Information Technology at Year 10)
Languages: Chinese, Italian, Japanese or Spanish
Senior School
The College operates three types of programs in the
Senior School:
Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE ) ~ the College offers
a wide selection of units.
Vocational Education and Training ( VET ) units ~ these
units are offered to students by the College and
across a local cluster of schools.
Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) ~ the College
operates this program for a limited number of students. |
Like Achievement Groups
assist staff to cater for the varied educational needs of our students.

Debating and Public Speaking skills are encouraged
and developed at the College.
Achievements in the Fine Arts
are celebrated.
Music
plays a key role in defining the culture at the
College.
Students experience classics, such as Oedipus Rex.
